The winners of the 2023 Robinson Lions Club Scholarships were announced during the Montour High School Senior Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony held on June 1, 2023.
Applicants for the scholarship were asked to describe the philanthropic project or effort they participated in that they are the most proud of, including their role and contribution in the project or effort, and one thing they would change that may have improved its success. With the names redacted, the Robinson Lions Club Scholarship committee chose the two winners. Each received $2,000 to be used towards their post-secondary education.
This years well deserving winners were Olivia Persinger and Alonzo Labrie. Both Olivia and Alonzo are Montour Leo Club members in addition to being involved in athletics and many other volunteer organizations in the school and community. Alonzo is the President of the 2023 Montour Leo Club. Both of them are leaders and have made a positive impact on the Montour community and there is no doubt they will continue to do great things in the future!

Robinson Lions Debbie O’Brien, Judy Kutchman, and Retired Lt. Col. David Kraft, USAF were on hand to present the scholarships during the ceremony.
