The Robinson Lions Club 4th Annual Corn Hole Fundraiser was held on Sunday October 1st, 2023 and was a huge success! This year due to overwhelming support from the community the event was held at the larger Rotary shelter at Clever Park. Being a Sunday in October in Pittsburgh, of course the Steelers game was streaming on the big screen during the event!
It was a perfect fall day and fun was had by all (even though the Steelers didn’t pull out a win)! In addition to the twenty nine two person teams competing for the cash prizes in the Corn Hole Tournament, nearly one hundred spectators attended. Attendees enjoyed great food and had the chance to win the awesome items and experiences that our sponsors donated such as a private box at a Penguins game, Steelers tickets, golf foursomes, gift baskets, sports memorabilia and more!
The Club would like to give a special thanks to all of the business, large and small that donated to this important event. Funds raised will go a long way to ensuring that the Robinson Lions Club can continue to support the community wherever there is a need.
In addition to many club members and their spouses and friends working at the event, more than 20 members of the Montour High School Leo Club showed up to help also. They helped with the heavy lifting, selling tickets and more. The Robinson Lions are grateful to have such a great group of young people stepping up to make their community a better place and learning about our motto “WE SERVE”.
