Robinson Lions Award Grant Recipients

The Robinson Lions kicked-off a new grant program this year with the goal of providing monetary grants to individuals associated with local schools or community organizations to help with special products. As funds allow year to year, the club will set aside a certain amount of money each year for the grant program. Interested parties complete an application which includes providing a description of the products or services the money would be used for and how it would impact the students of the school or the community organization. The Robinson Lions Grant Committee reviews the applications received and selects the recipients.

This year’s recipients represented several local schools. The recipients are pictured above and listed below along with what the grant will be used for.

  • Brad Swiger (grant accepted by Susan Kalich) from Archangel Gabriel School for teaching supplies
  • Amy West from Robinson Christian School for reading materials for learning and a reading campaign
  • Tracy Blyzwick from Montour High School for sensory items for special needs students
  • Amy Jaorsinski, Alyssa Kidd, and Linda Ewonce from Montour Elementary School for a color printer, Science of Energy Kits and supplies to create a Calming Corner for emotional support.

Thank you to all that applied and we are happy that the money granted will make a positive impact on our local students!
