We recently attended the 2016 Robinson Township Autumn Festival. You can view photos from the event on our Facebook page, HERE. It is also listed in MyLCI, and we were featured in a recent issue of The Cauldron newsletter, below.
We are excited for tomorrow!
Stop by our booth this Saturday at the Robinson Autumn Festival to meet some adorable leader dogs for the blind! You can also buy raffle tickets to win GREAT prizes from generous donors including Kavic Winery, The Mall at Robinson, Airmall at Pittsburgh International Airport, and several Lions Club members and friends!
Proceeds raised form the Robinson Lions Club raffle will go to guide dog organizations — and the Lions will match all donations and ticket purchases, up to $500!
See you tomorrow! And thank you to our donors and sponsors!

The Robinson Township Lions accept male and female members, ages 18 and older. We do a lot of good in our community which serves Robinson Township and the Pittsburgh area.
We hold meetings once a month, and attend a couple of fun events per year; plus, we do our annual Broom and Bag Sale and other fundraising efforts.
It’s a great way to give back, have fun, serve the community, and forge lifelong bonds.
Learn more about our organization on our Facebook page, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more!
In memory of late Lion, Lee Louis, a member for decades. We donated to the Leader Dogs program in his honor.
In April of 2016, members of the Robinson Township Lions Club presented Leon’s wife, Eileen Louis, with a plaque in Leon’s honor.
His name will live on as part of the Leader Dogs for the Blind program, and we thank him for his 42 years of service as a Lion.
We are exceptionally proud of the work we do with our friends at the NHS Allegheny Valley School’s Stucco House…
The gratitude, appreciation, and respect with this fine organization and its amazing residents is mutual.

In addition to being recognized for our service to the visually impaired since 1955, the Robinson Lions Club has touched and Improved many facets of the Robinson Township community. To support these activities, we conduct an annual “Broom & Garbage Bag Sale” throughout the township with brooms manufactured by the blind and visually impaired. We are asking for your support to fund these critical and worthwhile projects by purchasing these brooms and/or garbage bags.
To make a purchase, please:
1. Fill out and return the order form (below, or, here) to PO Box 15775, Pittsburgh, PA, 15224.
2. Include a check payable to “Robinson Lions Club.” Brooms and Bags will be delivered to the Robinson Township area between May 1 and May 30.
Note – If you are not home during delivery, we will leave them at your door.
Count to 60 – that’s how much time that a child somewhere in the world has left before going blind. According to the World Health Organization, a child goes blind every minute.
The Lions are not idly sitting by — we’re taking action! In 2011, Lions Clubs International signed a cooperative agreement with WHO to aid in global efforts to fight preventable blindness and focus on emerging threats to vision health. This includes renewed efforts against childhood blindness, diabetic retinopathy, and trachoma.
So, why not consider becoming a Robinson Lion and help us to help others.
Why Become a Lion? There are SO MANY Reasons!
Are you interested in volunteer programs, community service and making our world a better place? Lions Clubs International (LCI) offers community members the opportunity to volunteer locally together as a group. Members are expected to meet membership requirements such as dues set by the club and LCI. Take the first step toward membership today – contact us and ask to be invited to a meeting.
If you’re interested in volunteering, leading projects, networking and having fun – you can do all of this and more as a Lions club member. As a Lion, you’ll perform local volunteer work to improve your community – and communities around the world.
You can join a local club that meets in person. A cyber club that meets online. Or a special interest club based on your profession, a hobby or anything you care about. You can plan a local project to protect the environment. Recycle eyeglasses to help the working poor. Or bring clean water to a remote village. Whatever you choose, you’ll be sharing, caring and making a difference.
Join an International Network of Volunteers and Friends
As a Lions club member, you’ll join a local group of service-minded men and women who are doing local volunteer work to support your community – right now. You’ll also become a member of Lions Clubs International, a respected international organization, a leader in your local community and a friend to people in need.
There are many reasons to become a member. As a Lion, you will:
- Help your community and gain valuable skills
- Make an impact on people’s lives – locally and internationally
- Learn to be a leader – and lead a respected organization
- Network with business people in your community and around the world
- Energize your life and have fun
You’ll grow personally and professionally. And you’ll know that the community volunteer work you perform is worthwhile and appreciated.
Additionally, Lions members get awesome discounts and other membership benefits:
