2017 Robinson Lions Club NHS Allegheny Valley School Stucco House Holiday Visit

Every holiday season, we deliver Christmas Cheer to residents at the NHS Allegheny Valley School Stucco House. It warms our hearts to see their joy and to know we’re doing important work in the Robinson community. To learn more about everything that we do, come to a meeting and see what the Lions are all about!

Robinson Lions Club Attend the 2017 Fall Festival

In September 2017, the Robinson Lions Club attended the annual Robinson Township Fall Festival, raising money for leader dogs and guide dog programs for the blind and visually-impaired, as well as donating additional funds to hurricane and disaster relief programs through the Lions Clubs International Disaster Relief Fund.

We raffled off gift cards, a wine basket, and more, as well as selling toy brooms and house brooms that were hand-crafted by individuals with disabilities — one of our standard fundraisers.

Please enjoy our photos, here.  (You can also still order brooms via our website and Facebook page!)

District 14-B Cauldron Newsletter Recognizes Robinson Lion

Thanks for your commitment to the Robinson Township Lions Club, Lion Joe! Great to have seen you in the December 2016 issue of the Cauldron!

The Robinson Lions Spread Holiday Cheer

The week before Christmas, the Robinson Township Lions Club visited residents of the NHS Allegheny Valley School’s Stucco House, delivering gifts and spreading good vibes of Christmas cheer. The annual tradition is one that is much-anticipated not only by the residents of the Allegheny School, but also by the Robinson Lions!

Robinson Lions Club District 14-B Donates to Service Dog Organizations

After raising nearly $500 at the Fall Festival, we decided as an organization to match the donation and give $1,000 to leader dogs for the blind. These guide dogs serve as not only companions but as “assistive devices” of sorts to persons with blindness or visual impairment. Guide dogs, leader dogs, service dogs, and therapy dogs are so important for many who are disabled or ill. We were happy to devote our time fundraising for such an important cause and are proud of the work we have done for leader dog organizations.

Robinson Autumn Festival

We recently attended the 2016 Robinson Township Autumn Festival. You can view photos from the event on our Facebook page, HERE. It is also listed in MyLCI, and we were featured in a recent issue of The Cauldron newsletter, below.
