After raising nearly $500 at the Fall Festival, we decided as an organization to match the donation and give $1,000 to leader dogs for the blind. These guide dogs serve as not only companions but as “assistive devices” of sorts to persons with blindness or visual impairment. Guide dogs, leader dogs, service dogs, and therapy dogs are so important for many who are disabled or ill. We were happy to devote our time fundraising for such an important cause and are proud of the work we have done for leader dog organizations.
